An absolutely lovely and short game. It hooked me from the start. Timeloops are always such a fun thing to explore, and I feel like this game does an amazing job at portraying the feeling of being helplessly stuck in a loop, doing the same things over and over, small things changing every time, making you question if that was what happened last time or something new entirely, and what that means for the upcoming route. I also absolutely adore both of our protagonists, and I find their lack of context and backstory even more enticing. The way we get to gradually learn and unravel things about them as the timeloops progress... Chefs kiss! I love it. I love the Nurture ending so much, too. The Hiker was stubborn in his conditioned belief that killing was in his nature, but as The Driver guided [nurtured] [hohoho] him, he, for the first time likely ever, used his power for a good, selfless reason. Something I'm sure he never even considered doing, or considered possible. It goes to show how much kind actions loop back around to you. I also sincerely love the overall message (or, well, one of them, at least) - So long as you're alive, there is hope. Even if you're bloodied, bruised, beaten, and battered, there will always be hope. Amazing little VN. |

Still playing, but this game was one of my favorites as a really young kid. So much so that I told my preschool teacher my father was an assassin because I thought it was so cool hahaha. It's been amazing getting to revisit it, though the PC controls kind of suck. Will update when I finish! |

Decided to pick this one up due to the steam summer sale. I've actually never played DnD before despite always wanting to (never really had a group who was down for it and consistent about it), so.... Next best thing, right? I will say... Already not loving the graphics, but that's my own preference. It's just a little... Ugly, honestly? And kind of overstimulating. Everything on the screen is of equal visual importance, so the lack of clarity makes me feel a lack of direction. That's not really a criticism though, just a personal thing. I wish the character creation let you change the body types more... I was pretty disappointed by it, visually speaking, though the actual backstory creation is pretty cool!! I haven't played much yet because I've been too busy and distracted but hopefully I will commit and not completely and entirely give the fuck up. |

Deltarune...OHHH Deltarune. What can be said about this game that hasn't been said before? I really love it. It inspires me every single time I play it, so whenever I need motivation to work on my own game I just play this until I get so antsy to work on my own that I can't anymore. Endless inspo farming. The graphics are beautiful, I love all the little sprite animations and expressions, and it's INCREDIBLY FUNNY! People who don't like the humor just need to accept it's not for them. Honestly, more people nowadays just need to accept when something just isn't for them in general!! That is an unrelated tangent though. I LOVE THIS GAME! Chapter 5 is hilarious. I'm very excited to see where it goes. I have my own theories, but I'm not going to write them out right now because I.... AM LAZY! Saving it for later. |
